The Utah Bocce Association

Bocce has become the hottest sport to come along in years. This is your chance to get a jump on the rest of the nation and get into the sport of the 21st Century!

Bocce, a game often confused with lawn bowling, has been around since the Roman Empire. The object of the game is to get your ball closer to the pallina, than the opposing team.  And now you can play at Pioneer Park.

Helping to bring a taste of Italy & good clean fun to downtown Salt Lake City.

We are looking for participants and volunteers, please contact us at: bocce@italianinutah.com

The roots of Bocce Ball have been traced back to the Roman Empire in about 600 BC.  Today it is played on official courts, in backyards, parks, and grass fields "with no rocks".

Bocce is similar to bowling.  Back in the earlier years, it was restricted to older Italian men.  Now it is open to men & women both young and old.
